We have the famous Carolina Reaper, the worlds hottest chilli amongst our collection. There are some favourites like the Scotch Bonnet, and more unusual varieties like the Habanero White and the Habanero Chocolate. All have full growing instructions. As of October 2023 there is a new King of Chillies. The Pepper x. Grown by Mr Ed Currie, who incidentally also grew the Carolina Reaper. The new chilli registers 2.69 millions of scoville heat units. This variety will not be available to grow. I understand it will appear in sauces etc. Congratulations to Ed.

So, what is in the kit? Six varieties of chilli seeds. Firtsly, the Carolina Reaper, the worlds hottest chilli. This really is volcanic. Measuring up to 2.2 million on the Scoville heat scale, with a fruity, peachy taste. Number two is the Hot Lemon, originaly from Equador, the heat is simmilar to a Cayenne, but it has a very disttinctive flavour. Next is the Tabasco, hugely popular and great in sauces.. Fourth is the Habanero Orange, bright orange, with a sweet fruity flavour. Now we have the Habanero White, unbelievably hot. Up to 600,000 SHUs. Last is the popular Scotch Bonnet, great with jerk chicken and hot sauce. Now for the equipment. We supply large six cell seed trays for sowing. A bag of high quality organic compost. Larger pots for individual sowing and growing on. Zip tie bags to aid germination. A scoville heat scale guide, seed marker and a marker pencil. And of course full instructions. Also known as Ghost Pepper. Originating from the Naga area (Assam, India), it produces extremely hot fruit that have a SHU of 1+ million. The wrinkled, conical shaped fruits mature from green to bright red and are typically 7cm long by 3cm wide, but sometimes the overall size is smaller, depending upon the growing conditions. Needs high temperatures to germinate with the optimum being 27-32oC. Please take care when handling fruit.
